The Summeln Fishing Area Association was formed in 1984.

The association's purpose is to coordinate fishing operations and fisheries management, and to grant fishing rights to the public. Crayfish fishing is not part of the association's area of responsibility.

Spread of diseases

To minimize the risk of spreading fish and crayfish diseases, only bait fish from the water in which the fishing is conducted should be used. Gear, boats, etc. should be cleaned when moved between different lakes and waterways.
