Tärna-Stensele Public Forest (TSA), is approximately 55,000ha in size and has its core area between Storuman and Tärnaby. The land borders the Vindelnfjällets nature reserve in the North, the Ryfjällsmassivet and the Gardfjällsmassivet in the West. The area is characterized by mountain forests, bogs and forest stars, streams and the Ume River.

The public forest describes forestry, sells hunting and fishing permits.

The creation took place over a hundred years ago and the area is jointly owned by the owners of approximately 600 individually owned so-called co-owner properties. TSA is managed by a board of directors and employed staff.
