Stockholm City Fisheries Management continuously works with fisheries management to create sustainable stocks and fishing opportunities in Lake Mälaren and the archipelago. Fisheries management is primarily about improving the opportunities for fish species to spawn and grow naturally. The city also participates in planting sea trout, salmon, pike perch and pike every year. The city collaborates regionally with many stakeholders and fishing water owners to allow fishing and to carry out fisheries management and fisheries supervision.
The city of Stockholm offers TDA fishing card which is valid for Trolling, Dragrodding and Angler fishing (ice fishing) in several areas in Lake Mälaren and the archipelago as well as crayfish fishing via Kräftfiskekortet (TDA-4). All income from the fishing cards goes to fisheries management in Stockholm County.

Extra support for fisheries conservation
By purchasing Fiskevårdsdekalen or the TDA fishing license, you can contribute to increased fisheries and biotope conservation. The fisheries conservation sticker costs 200 kronor, which is deposited into the sports administration's plusgiro account 155 89 79-9.
