The area was opened up in 2015 when the villages of Baggböle, Klabböle, Brännland, Kåddis and Sörfors began to cooperate with a joint fishing license in the Umeälven within the Umeälven rapids fishing area (also called “Torrfåran”). Through the cooperation, the area has become more accessible to you fishermen where one fishing license covers the entire fishing stretch on both sides of the river. There are also two so-called special stretches connected to this area, the so-called Öringskanalen and Baggböleören, with separate licenses.
