Valsjöns fvo is located in a scenic area near the Norwegian border and offers a varied fishing that geographically extends from Stor-Foskvattnet in the east to Rengen in the west. As of January 2004, the Hotagen-Flinten area is included in Valsjöns fvo, which means that the number of ponds is approximately 60. The larger lakes are Valsjön, Rengen, Stor-Foskvattnet and parts of Hotagen as well as a number of other larger lakes. Valsjöbyn is located along road 340 (Fiskevägen), 130 km northwest of Östersund. From Norway, the area can be reached via E6, then road 74 from Grong.
