The Åland Islands' fisheries management area consists of the lakes Åland, Axsjön, Vån, Övre Högsjön and Nedre Högsjön.
Åland is a lake that is almost at the beginning of the lake system consisting of Ämmern and Åsunden, which flows into the Kinda Canal. Åland is almost a pure spring lake that consists of clear and fine water with a lot of forest around the lake. The other lakes are small spring lakes that flow into Åland and are located in the northern part of the fisheries management area.
To dock a boat, you must contact landowners around the lake for permission to go down to the lake. We are working on getting a public ramp for the lake.
