Övre and Nedre Bjärlången and Dalsjön are two lakes that border the eastern part of Bjärnum. Bjärnum is located about 20 kilometers north of Hässleholm on road 117 towards Markaryd.
Both Bjärlången and Dalsjön offer fine fishing. Fish species found in the lakes are pike, perch, tench, roach, and bream, as well as sparse pike perch. Dalsjön is also known for its carp.
The nature around the lakes is very varied and exciting with slightly hilly terrain, alternating open pastures and deciduous/coniferous forests. There are good paths around the lakes (watch out for cattle on the west side of Övre/Nedre Bjärlången and at the southwestern part of Dalsjön).
There are tables with benches in a few places around the lake.
