Winter fishing In winter, Lill-Siktensjön attracts with fine ice fishing for char. The lake is located along road 352 between Hemling and Nyliden and is usually described as a small “mountain lake”. The clear water and excellent visibility create good conditions for pike perch. The lake is approximately 28 meters deep, and char are stocked annually to contribute to a good supply of fish. By the lake there is a windbreak and a small cabin with a stove and firewood – perfect when you want to take a break, warm yourself and gather new energy during winter fishing. Summer fishing When summer comes, the Hemlingsån offers atmospheric fishing for trout and grayling. The winding river, surrounded by beautiful Norrland nature, gives you a peaceful fishing experience with proximity to the wilderness. Those who want to fish for perch and pike have several great options. Lillhemlingen and Storsiktensjön are excellent choices, and the Gideälven also offers good access to these species. The fishing area in the river extends approximately four kilometers from the Gammelby power plant dam north to the suspension bridge over the river in Nyliden. Here it is also allowed to use a boat, which provides even more opportunities to find the perfect fishing spot. Fishing facilities and service At Lillhemlingen, along the road between Hemling and Storborgaren and approximately three kilometers from Hemling, there is a shelter with a barbecue ring. Here you can take a pleasant break, grill something delicious and enjoy the tranquility of nature. If you need to stock up on provisions or supplement your fishing equipment, there is an ICA Lanthandel and a gas station with a kiosk in Hemling. There you can easily arrange the last things for a successful day on the water.
