The Holmadammen at Stora Holm on Hisingen is a shallow, nutrient-rich pond with a lot of vegetation that covers most of the water surface in the summer. The fish population consists of pike, carp and eel.
About Holmadammen
There are an estimated 50-100 carp in the pond, fairly evenly distributed between mountain carp and mirror carp, and the record fish, the mountain carp “Moffa”, weighs in at 14-15 kg. When the carp are active, they often move at or just below the surface, which invites very exciting stalking fishing. Area: 2-3 ha.
