Näckten (or Näkten as the lake is sometimes spelled) is an exciting mountain lake in the lowlands that has an incredibly good supply of pike perch, as well as good access to trout, char and large pike.
In Näckten there is a shallow upper part with nice places for trout. Char is only found in the southern deep part of the lake. This char is related to the Vättern char as it switches to a fish diet in the 3rd spring.
The pike in the lake are heavy, wide and short.
An overnight cabin is available on Ytterö. Wind shelter on Älgön, Finnön, Brynjeholmen and north Rödberg's treasure fishing.
