The area is located by the Laisälven river, about 23 km north of the Sorsele town. It includes part of the Laisälven river, Lake Arresjaure and some smaller watercourses. The area around the Laisälven river is very interesting with large rapids and falls.
There is a road and marked paths to most of the waters. Nordanås-Fjällnäs SFF is best reached by taking the E45 road from Sorsele towards Arvidsjaur. After about 13 km, at the village of Heden, you turn left towards Arjeplog and after 10 km you reach Nordanås, which is located in the middle of the area. Laisälven, Arresjaure
Fishing
The area offers good stream fishing for grayling and trout as well as whitefish in the Laisälven river and very interesting nature. Perch and pike can be found in the lakes and ponds in the area. Fishing is best from the beginning of July to September.
Fishing Care
Since fishing waters can be sensitive to high fishing pressure, it goes without saying that you should not “catch fish”. Grayling is also a sensitive fish when it comes to storage and should therefore be cooked as soon as possible. Do not fish for growing small fish. It is not permitted to catch fish under the minimum dimensions.
