Öresjö is perhaps one of Sweden's best pimpels lakes. In the larger competitions, the winners usually pull in over 10 kg!
The fishing license for Öresjö is also valid in Viskan up to Örebro and in Stora and Lilla Tosserydssjön. A special fishing license gives you the opportunity to fish in Munkån and Svensån.
On trial in 2019 there is also a special fishing license "Viskan" for the part of Viskan that you can fish in when you are on Mölarps ö (See PDF map)
In Öresjö there are perch, bream, pike, roach, whitefish, zander and eel. In Munkån and Svensån there are trout, among other things. Öresjö has been a drinking water source for Borås since 1932. That is the reason why it is prohibited to drive with 2-stroke engines on Öresjö. The area is not acidified. The fishery conservation area is included in the Municipal Fishing Card.
