Såken is located in the northern part of Svenljunga municipality, in the middle of the scenic Sjuhäradsbygden.
The lake is approx. 450 ha in size and has a very large variation with islands, deep cliffs, shallow and partly very rocky bottom, the greatest depth is 28 m.
Såken is part of the Ätran catchment area and is part of the Ätranöring Project which aims to increase the population of Ätranöring in the area. For several years now, pikeperch fry have been released annually to increase the population, the pikeperch grows well due to the large amount of small whitefish found in the lake. Eels are also released regularly. In addition to pikeperch, there are pike, perch, whitefish, roach, eel and whitefish.
In addition to exciting fishing in a challenging lake, Såken offers an extraordinary nature experience with forests, rocky shores and vertical rock walls, but also bathing beaches for those who do not fish. It is also possible to park a caravan or motorhome near the water.
