The Silverån River is mainly flowing and shallow with stone and sandy bottoms, the water is clear and nutrient-poor. The Silverån valley constitutes a relatively undisturbed wilderness area that has been designated as a national interest for nature conservation. The lakes that are included in the fishery conservation area are nutrient-poor clear water lakes with stone and gravel bottoms.
