About the water
Fishing opportunities are many and varied in one of Jämtland's largest fisheries management areas. In the Övre Ljungan valley with the Helagsfjällen mountains to the west, there are thousands of hectares of forest surrounded by mighty mountains.
The area has nearly 50 lakes and ponds and about 150 kilometers of flowing water, see map of all waters included in the area.
Classic waters in Storsjö are Sölvbacka streams with grayling and trout. Skärkån is Storsjööringen's main reproduction area.

Området omfattar allt det fiske som är samfällt för skifteslaget. Fiskevårdsområdets syfte är att tillvarata fiskerättsägarnas intresse och främja ett allmänt fritidsfiske samt att bedriva fiskevård i områdets vatten.
