Fishing Sunnedamms Sportfiske offers three different fishing options on an area of approximately 5 hectares: an artificially created stretch of stream of approximately 300 meters, a 1.5-hectare pond with an average depth of 2 meters, and a private fly fishing stretch in the Vänneån (one bank) of approximately 0.5 km.
The fishing season extends from ice breaking to ice formation. With a day pass, fishing is allowed from “sun up” to “sun down”. The water supply comes from the Vänneån and the flow is good, which not only ensures good water quality and ecological diversity but also contributes to a varied fishing water for the fly fisherman. Among other things, the mighty åsand dragonfly hatches here. In addition, yellow rapids dragonflies and occasionally huge numbers of dragonflies of varying sizes are often seen, as well as damselflies, trolls and damselflies, feather midges and all conceivable land insects.
We strive for our transplanted fish to be comparable to the wild game fish that our hobby originated from. In other words: a fish that has been carefully cultivated and raised with moderate feeding and ample space in the tanks. We strive for a varied population with whole fins. Most individuals weigh between 1 and 4 kilos when planted out. The nature of the water in combination with a rich insect life means that the fish are extremely alert.
