Björksele FVO was founded in 1992 and manages the fishing within the fishery management area which partly consists of Hällbymagasinet and a number of ponds around Björksele village. Through cooperation with Gafsele FVO, the fishing license also includes part of Hällbymagasinet up to Sämsjöbron (road bridge Björkselevägen - Gafsele-Björksele).
