The lake is very beautiful, about 500 m north of Åre Björnnen center and with a magnificent view of Åreskutan.

Barbecue areas and shelters are located by the lake on the east side along the old road.

Åre Björnnen's cross-country skiing trails are drawn around the lake.

Fishing licenses are sold via iFiske, but also at ICA Björnänge and by Arild Fröseth in Svedje (Björnänge Lodge).
