We are a non-profit fishing association that has our waters in a scenic environment at "Finnskogen" next to the Norwegian border in Torsby municipality. Our most popular fishing waters (in no particular order) are Pägertjärn, Rottnaälven, Runnsjön, Stortjärn, Matlöpen. Pägertjärn is a so-called (Put & take) water where we regularly release Rainbow trout.
Every year we release Char, Trout and Rainbow trout with permission from the county administrative board. None of the board members receive any fees, but all the money we receive from fishing license sales goes directly to buying fish for release or other types of fishing conservation measures every year.
We have 7 trained supervisors in the area.
To protect the trout during its spawning season and create better conditions for the species' reproduction, there is a total fishing ban from September 1st to November 30th in the following waters. The ban applies to all fishing in the following waters regardless of species:
- Runnsjön.
- Stortjärn.
- Lilltjärn.
- Örsjön.
- Horntjärn.
- Sniptjärn.
- Lysen.
- All our streams and rivers.
Trout caught during the ban in waters other than the above must be released.
