The Northern Värmeln Fisheries Conservation Area Association was formed in 1991 and is headquartered in Brunskog.

The fisheries conservation area includes fishing in Northern Värmeln (the part located within Arvika municipality) and two smaller lakes – Ingersbytjärnet and Yppersbytjärnet as well as watercourses within a defined area. (See map.)

The association's purpose and main task is to promote and conduct fisheries conservation, i.e. to develop and improve fishing and its conditions.

For many years, there has been close cooperation with the Southern Värmeln FVOF. This has gradually resulted in the rules and fishing license prices being coordinated and that each fishing license is also valid in the entire lake Värmeln.
