After a fire in February 2019 where the association's zealot was killed and almost all documents were destroyed, the association's activities were at a standstill. But in February 2021, some landowners with fishing rights came together to form an interim board. It was formed and the work of identifying which properties had fishing rights began. Not the easiest thing, but eventually it was successful. On May 15, 2024, an extraordinary annual general meeting was held where a board was elected that is now trying to recreate the operations. We do not know when the association was formed, but the statutes we use were adopted on May 6, 1992. Our long-term goal is to preserve the unique population of Gullspång salmon and trout found in the Gullspångsälven River. Our vision is to care for the fishery and land, to give our and future generations an opportunity to experience the unique environment we manage.
