Mollsjön's Fisheries Conservation Association works to improve and develop the fishing and the environment in and around Lake Mollsjön, its tributaries and the lakes Lommekeärr, Trolltjärn, Petersjö and Ebbetjärn.

Since the seventies, the association has administered an annual liming which has had dramatically positive effects on the health of the lake. From being a "sour lake" (clear water, bays that grew back and decreasing fish stocks) the lake now has a balanced pH and plenty of fish.

The association is also responsible for ensuring that the statutory regulation of the outflow from the lake for hydroelectric purposes complies with current water regulations.
