Information and rules within the Bruksvallarna Card Fishing Area.
- Catch restrictions apply to trout and char, max 4 fish per day and angler except for Mittån and Ljusnan where there is 1 fish per day and person. - No catch restrictions on perch. - Window withdrawal 30-40 centimeters. - A fly fishing stretch that is not quotated is on Ljusnan between the bridge in Bruksvallarna and one kilometer downstream of Kyrkogården (fly fishing only). Here children under 14 years of age can fish with any method on a guardian's fishing license. - Quotated fly fishing stretches are on Ljusnan and Mittån and have herring cards. (SEE BELOW) - Fishing in Ljusnan is permitted from the east side of the river (simplified description when Ljusnan flows from north to south). - Summer fishing with live bait (e.g. worms) is not permitted in Ljusnan and Mittån to reduce possible damage to fish that do not reach the minimum size. - Registered members of Bruksvallarna have special rules regarding fishing. - Fishing is prohibited in flowing water from September 15th to October 15th for fish spawning. - We ask that you show consideration for landowners and do not walk around animals or across farmland. Park only in designated parking spaces. - Treat nature and each other with respect. We would like all guests to treat each other kindly, even in cases of suspected rule violations.
Rules for Messmörtjärn and Storbäcktjärn
Messmörtjärn and Storbäcktjärn are Put-and-Take waters and have a special card. - Catch restrictions apply to trout and char, max. 3 fish per day and angler. - All catch must be recorded. - Fishing gear according to general regulations, i.e. Spinning, fly fishing, ice fishing and angling are allowed.
Ljusnan and Mittån's quota fly fishing stretches
- Ljusnan: Fly fishing only. Fishing is allowed on the east side of the river. Max. 6 places per day, between the bridge at Walles Motorcross Track and the bridge at Jo-Ers Bygget (See map) - Mittån: Fly fishing only. Max. 4 places per day. (See map) - Streamer and mouse fishing are prohibited and no flies larger than size 12 are allowed to minimize damage to fish. - Barbless only. - Not allowed to have more than one fly on the same rod. - Knotless nets are a requirement for gentle handling of fish. - When the temperature exceeds 18 degrees in the water, the river may be closed. Factors such as the upcoming forecast, water level and temperature play a central role. Stay updated on iFiske and Facebook. - Allowed to catch one fish between 30cm - 40cm per day. The rest must be released and fishing ends when the quota is filled. - The fishing license is personal and may not be used by others. - We all help to pick up trash. - Otherwise, we would like you to treat the fish with care and that you keep it in the water during hauling and unhooking. - Treat other fishermen with respect.
