RULES FOR FISHING IN SOTTERN 2025
We welcome you to a beautiful and wonderful nature experience, in our vicinity.
The reason for the fishing ban from May 15 to June 20 in the southeastern area of Sottern is due to a regeneration area in the lake.
The fishing license for Sottern applies to fishing in the part of the lake that belongs to Brevens Bruk AB. The approximate border consists of a line Kvarsätter - along the municipal border -Fjärdingshällen-Prästön-500 m Ö Käfsterud (see map).
In case of violation of the rules below, a control fee will be charged by the fishing inspector, Tomasz Krysiak.
- The card is personal and must be carried when fishing and presented upon request during inspection.
- Only fishing with hand gear is permitted. No fishing nets may be used. In the summer, you may not have more than one hand tool per person.
- For pike perch, the fish caught must be at least 45 cm and a maximum of 3 pieces / day and card.
- For pike, the fish caught must be at least 45 cm and a maximum of 90 cm and a maximum of 3 pikes / day and card.
- For trolling, a special fishing license is required.
- For trolling, a maximum of 4 rods/card or a maximum of 6 rods/boat.
- For ice fishing, a maximum of 5 fishing tools per card and only with hand tools or so-called angeldon.
- By Local resident we mean those who live within Brevens Bruk AB's land holdings, including residents in Högsjö, Svennevad and Pålsboda.
- By Family we mean those who live within the same household.
- Hand-held fishing for young people up to 18 years of age is free of charge (ID required).
- Be considerate of nesting birds. Do not fish closer than 200 m from nesting ospreys and 300 m from nesting great black-backed guillemots.
Fishing ban applies within the area marked on the map between May 15 and June 20.
