Gargnäs-Råstrands FVOF

The fishing license is personal and may not be transferred.
Children and young people up to 16 years of age fish with a special fishing license, a free license.
You are required to submit a catch report when fishing for salmon regardless of whether you have caught fish or not.
The fly fishing stretch in Gargån requires a special fishing license.
Salmon fishing is permitted from June 19 to September 14.
There is a fishing ban in the area for trout and salmon between September 15 and June 18, to protect the trout and salmon spawning.
To protect the grayling spawning, it is prohibited to fish for grayling between March 15 and May 31.
Fishing with a float ring is permitted in all waters within the area. Not permitted with oars (so-called belly boats)
Respect other fishermen in the area. Use so-called rotational fishing where this is considered necessary.
Fishing from land always comes before boat fishing. When fishing from a boat, caution must be exercised towards land-based fishermen.
Fishing from your own boat is not permitted in the sobbed swamp and the winter swamp. If your own boat is used, a boat license must be purchased (day license or annual license)
In the Vindelälven, only fishing rights holders and members may fish from their own boat. Others must purchase a boat license (day license or annual license) or rent a boat.
Only one rod is allowed, so-called hand gear fishing. Fishing with angling gear (angler gear, pole hook or scissors) is prohibited.

Maximum dimensions

For salmon, the minimum dimension is 50 cm.
In planted lakes: trout and char. A total of max. 2 fish/day/fisherman in planted waters. Minimum dimensions 30 cm. The fishing ban applies from the time when fish are released in autumn. (Around 15 Oct. Follow fvo on Facebook for more exact dates)

4 fish (grayfish and trout), of which a maximum of 1 trout, which meets the applicable minimum/maximum size, may be taken per fisherman per day in the Vindelälven.
In Gargån and Staggbäcken a maximum of 2 grayfish and a maximum size of 40cm applies. All trout are released = No kill on trout.
A maximum of 1 male salmon may be taken per fisherman/day, the females must be released back. This is because our area is located within one of the river's more important spawning areas for salmon.
