As a fisherman, you are obliged to follow the fishing rules that apply where you are going to fish. In the waters that the Gippmokksjöarna Fiskevårdsområde allows for fishing, the following fishing regulations apply
General rules.
- Sport fishing means fishing with a hook and line from your hand or fishing with a drag from a boat
- The fishing license is personal and cannot be transferred
- The fishing license must be carried when fishing and presented for inspection upon request.
- During the month of September, all fishing is prohibited at the Gippmokksjöarna Lakes.
Inner Gippmokksjön
Permitted fishing methods: Sport fishing (only)
Western and Outer Gippmokksjön
Permitted fishing methods: Sport fishing, otter, nets
Information Fishing license including nets
- Landowners, people with a permanent connection to the village, and summer cottage owners, can purchase full annual licenses including net fishing.
- The minimum mesh size of the net is 5 yards = 30 mm.
- Net fishing is only permitted at the western & outer Gippmokksjön lakes.
Conservation zones regarding net fishing at the following locations
- Sunn-Bron: 100 meters on each side of the bridge
- Outlet: 100 meters from the outlet and then downstream the stream towards the king's road.
- Lindersbäcken: Marked with posts and a sign.
Other rules regarding Gippmokksjöarna
- Free fishing for all children and young people up to 16 years of age.
- For everyone's well-being, show respect to residents and cottage owners, do not leave fish leftovers behind.
