A valid fishing license must always be carried when fishing in the waters of the fishing management area. Upon request, you must be able to show your fishing license and also be able to identify yourself. Fishing may not be conducted for sale. The fishing license does not entitle you to fishing with a bream, gillnet or net. A total ban on fishing with a line also applies in FVOF's waters. The fishing license does not entitle you to fishing for crayfish. The fishing license is valid for angling, trolling, jigging, glinder, 20-hook longlines and 10 fishing rods in Vittsjö nya FVOF's waters. Our minimum dimensions are for Zander 45cm (max 2 Zander / day), Pike 40 cm and Eel 65 cm. Fish that are smaller than the minimum dimensions must be carefully released. (Wet your hands before you touch the fish) All trout and carp must be released with the greatest caution. The fishing license entitles you to fish with a maximum of 3 (three) rods. Fishing from beaches and piers is prohibited during the months of June, July and August. All fishing in Gåsadammen and Gässlingen is prohibited. The fishing license holder has the right to catch bait fish to a limited extent with small fish nets and roach huts. The net may not be longer than 10 m and the mesh size may not be more than 15 mm. The net/roach hut must be marked with the card holder's name. Roach huts are only permitted from 1 December to 31 March. Caught fish may only be used as bait for your own fishing in the waters of Vittsjö nya FVOF.

In the fishery management area, our minimum dimensions for pike-perch are 45 cm, (Max 2 pike-perch/day) pike 40 cm and eel 65 cm. Fish that are under the minimum dimensions must be carefully released. All trout and carp must be released with the greatest care. Wet your hands first before you touch the fish. Fishing from beaches and bathing jetties is prohibited during the months of June, July and August. Your own boat and motor may be used. Do not enter the embankment, private plots of land and park so that traffic, etc. is not obstructed. Do not block paths and launching ramps. Fishing is prohibited in Gåsadammen & Gässlingen. New rules:
From 2026, new rules will be introduced for pike-perch fishing in Vittsjö Nya Fiskevårdsområde (FVO). Like many other lakes in Sweden, pike-perch is now protected during its spawning period, which is a wise and important measure to ensure a viable pike-perch population in the future.
Protection period: 1 May – 31 May During this period, all fishing for pike-perch is prohibited. Any caught pike-perch must be immediately released. The purpose of the conservation period is to protect the pike-perch during spawning, when it is particularly vulnerable. We therefore urge all fishermen to respect the rules, so that together we can preserve a strong and sustainable pike-perch population to enjoy for the rest of the year.
