Through a collaboration between Holmen Skog AB, Tvartorps Gård and Svea Skog AB it is now possible to buy a fishing license for Lake Östjuten. Fishing is permitted throughout Östjuten with the exception of the property Gommersnäs 1:80 - the fishing area is shown on the map of Östjuten when you buy a fishing license via iFiske.se.
Fishing includes angling, ice fishing, simple trolling, spinning and fly fishing, angling/ice fishing with a maximum of 10 tackle and a roach hut or bream for catching bait fish (however, not during the period 1 April - 31 October).
Net fishing and crayfish fishing are absolutely prohibited.
The fishing license is valid for the holder together with their spouse (cohabiting partner) and children under 18 years of age.
The fishing license must be carried when fishing and, upon request, must be shown to representatives of landowners who have granted fishing rights to the water, as well as to other fishing license holders in Östjuten.
Fishing license holders may keep boats in designated areas, and the boat must be equipped with a tag in the bow of the boat where the name and telephone number are clearly visible - the boat must be kept locked when not in use.
The fishing license holder may not sell caught fish.
The fishing right ceases with immediate effect if the specified fishing rules are not complied with, without the right to a refund of the fee paid.
In order to have good long-term fishing in Östjuten, a so-called window withdrawal applies for pike - it is only permitted to take pikes that are in the range of 45-75 cm. If the pike is less than 45 cm, it must be released. The same applies to pikes that are longer than 75 cm. A maximum of 3 pikes per day may be taken.
For perch, a maximum length applies - all perch that are longer than 38 cm must be unconditionally put back into the lake.
