The fishing license applies to fishing with hand gear, i.e. spinning, angling, ice fishing, trolling/drag fishing max 4 rods, angler and ice fishing max 10.
- Minimum size of pike perch is 45 cm.
- Maximum 3 pike perch, 2 pikes and 5 kg perch over 15 cm may be caught per person and day.
- All crayfish fishing is prohibited.
- The license is valid within Säbysjön and in Svartån up to highway 32
- Prohibition on boats with combustion engines during the period 1 May to 31 July between 20:00 - 06:00.
- Prohibition on all use of live echo sounders. The prohibition includes multi-beam technology where fish and bait can be seen in real time, for example systems called "LiveScope", "Active Target" and "MegaLive" or equivalent.

FOR WATER RIGHTS OWNERS
Rules regarding net fishing decided on 24-05-08
- Water rights owners may place a maximum of 8 meters of net per owned percentage, however a maximum of 200 meters per occasion.
- Smaller water rights owners have the right to place up to 30 meters of net per occasion even if it exceeds 8 meters per percentage.
- If water rights owners lease their fishing rights to several lessees, the net limitation applies to each leased share.
- Nets must be marked with specific net buoys for Lake Säbysjön that are purchased by FVOF and distributed to the water owners.
