Fishing regulations Nedre Svartån FVO
Applies only to hand gear from the shore. Fishing in Svartån is limited to a part of the river, around the bridgehead at Bergsvägen, 50 m downstream, and up to the power line (100 m), and the footbridge. Children under 16 years of age fish for free when accompanied by a guardian. The following gear and fishing methods are permitted: casting rod, fishing rod, fly rod, ice rod, ice fishing. Only one (1) rod per card and person is permitted. When fishing with hand gear, only two pikes per fisherman and day may be kept, these must measure between 40-90 cm. Other caught pike apply = **Catch & release (re-released)**Caught fish for own use must be killed, other fish must be released = Catch & release.

In the event of a violation of the fishing regulations, a control fee of SEK 800 will be charged Prohibition rules**
- All directed recreational fishing for asp, bream and eel is prohibited throughout the year.
- All caught pike perch must be released = Catch & release.
- Fish caught by anglers may not be sold.
- The following gear is prohibited for use by anglers: nets, gillnets, cast nets, pike scissors, roach traps, cages and to jerk or hook the fish with pointed gear
- Fishing is not permitted from boat docks, private docks, bathing docks and bridges that are open to vehicle traffic and in the vicinity of hydroelectric power plants.
- Trolling fishing - drag fishing is prohibited in Nedre Svartån.
