From 01-01-2026 until the ice breaks, Grangärde Fiske's membership card is valid for winter fishing in Ljustjärn and Gåltjärn. When Knivsjön, Kytjärn or Igeltjärn is not rented out, Grangärde Fiske's Membership Card/Fishing Card is valid!
These local fishing rules must be followed according to law. We have trained fishing inspectors to check fishing licenses and rule violations.
On Ö.Hedtjärn-Sottjärn, Tanstjärn, Ljustjärn and Gåltjärn, a special Fishing Card is required.
- Tanstjärn: Max 10 cards/day. (00.00-24.00)
- Ljustjärn: Max 6 cards/day. (00.00-24.00)
- Gåltjärn: Max 6 cards/day (00.00-24.00)
Rules that you must follow:
- Max 3 noble fish per day may be caught, applies to all cards.
- Fishing cards do not entitle you to crayfish fishing, a special crayfish fishing card must be purchased from Grangärde FVOF.
- Fishing gear must be kept under supervision when fishing.
- Bredtjärn-Lilla Ångtjärn-Femöringen are not open to public fishing.
- Fishing ban in Hojensån and Norrboån applies until further notice.
- In all running waters, barbless hooks must be used.
- Trout fishing in running waters permitted from the ice breaking up until 15/9. At other times, the ban applies.
- Illegal fishing (poaching): All fishing without a valid fishing card will be reported to the police. We will confiscate all equipment used at the time as well as a police report and claim for damages.
- Littering, police report according to the new law on littering.
- We reserve the right to confiscate fishing licenses and ban people from fishing in our lakes who do not follow our rules, significantly disturb other fishermen or otherwise behave inappropriately.
In case of violation of our local fishing regulations, we will charge a control fee. The control fee is written out at the lake by a licensed fishing inspector.

If you catch more than 3 fish on your card in Ö.Hedtjärn, Sottjärn, Tanstjärn, Ljustjärn and Gåltjärn. Control fee 1,000 SEK.

If you catch more than 3 game fish/day in any of the other game fishing lakes. Control fee 1,000 SEK.
Kytjärn, Igeltjärn and Knivsjön may be closed for fishing in connection with rentals.
