General
In Svartedalen Sportfiske lakes, anglers have been stocking rainbow trout for over 30 years and the pike have been able to grow to be large specimens over the 10-kilo limit. With the pike fishing license, we offer a unique opportunity to catch a dream fish in Svartedalen's nature reserve.
Fishing season
In Svartedalen Sportfiske lakes, we are open for pike fishing on selected weekends in March-April and October-November.
Methods
The fishing license is valid for fishing with only dead bait and two fishing rods as well as traditional spinning fishing.
Fishing rules
- Requirement for re-release of pikes over 80 cm.
- Boats, kayaks and float rings are prohibited.
- Only one fishing license per person per day.
General recommendations
- Fish with a line that has a breaking strength of 18-20 kg (e.g. 0.30-0.40 mm braided line) preferably equipped with a "snag leader" in nylon of at least 3 meters.
- Use at least 1.0 mm nylon line or 30 lbs wire when fishing for large pike.
- Use single hooks and barbless hooks: To facilitate unhooking and reduce damage to the fish.
- Equipment for gentle handling: Use a knotless net, unhooking mat and weighing bag (avoid weighing in the gills).
- Catch & Release: After catching, return the pike quickly to the water and give it the best chance of survival. Use the right equipment to ensure sustainable fishing and protect pike stocks.
Other
Fishermen are required to show their fishing license, ID, gear, and bags upon request. Fishing supervisors are provided with a special badge or card. The fishing rules apply to legal liability and violations may result in penalties. If you fish with unauthorized methods, your fishing license will be canceled on the spot and a control fee of 1000 will be issued by our fishing supervisors.
Membership in Sportfiskarna is a requirement! It is also a requirement to report all pike catches to Sportfiskarna Region Väst at the email address: goteborg@sportfiskarna.se
