General fishing rules – Ljunga Södra FVOF
Fishing is permitted with hand-held gear (rod). This applies to fishing from land, ice and in waters where boat fishing is permitted. Angling (ice baiting) is permitted in winter.
In Hällsjön, float fishing with a traditional fly fishing rod is permitted.
Net fishing and crayfish fishing are prohibited for the public. Exceptions only apply to fishing rights holders according to special rules.
Minimum size for game fish (trout, rainbow trout, etc.) is 25 cm. Maximum catch is 4 game fish per fishing occasion.
Fishing times:
• Ljungan: 1 June – 1 September
• Other flowing waters: 15 May – 1 September
• Other times fishing is prohibited, except for angling in winter
A valid fishing license is required for all fishing. Fishing without a fishing license will be reported to the police.
Fishing inspections are carried out in the area. Violations of the rules can result in an inspection fee of up to SEK 4,280. Minor violations, such as exceeding the catch quota, may result in a fee.
Local deviations occur. Some waters may have special rules, such as prohibitions on boat fishing or restrictions on fishing from land. Always check the specific rules for the water in question before fishing.
Fishing right holders are subject to special regulations and must obtain a fishing right certificate and follow the association's rules.
Show consideration for nature, other fishermen and applicable safety regulations.
