Fishing licenses are only valid for sport fishing and not for fishing with nets, traps or similar.
Children and young people up to and including 15 years of age fish for free. Crayfish fishing is not permitted for the general public within the Hultsjö Södra fisheries conservation area. To promote Övingen's birdlife, there is a ban on boat engines larger than 4 hp.
