In order for fishing to continue to be free, everyone needs to follow the rules and show consideration for both nature and people. The fishing area is controlled by a fishing inspector.
This is what you need to know
Where can you fish?

Free fishing from Slattefors power plant (downstream) to the mouth of Stångån in Roxen.

Fishing is allowed all year round.
What gear can you use?

Fishing rod, ice rod, casting rod, reel rod and fly rod.

All other gear and methods are prohibited.

Max. one rod per person.
What applies to the catch?

For own use only – no selling or moving of live fish.

Do not catch more fish than you need.
Prohibited species
- Asp, roach and eel – must be released back immediately, regardless of condition.
Dimensions and restrictions

Zander: minimum 45 cm.

Pike: 40–75 cm, max 2 pikes per person/day.

Fish that are too small or belong to prohibited species must be released back immediately, regardless of condition.

Fish for personal use are killed immediately.

From bridges with vehicle traffic.

At locks.

Closer than 50 meters from the inlet and outlet of hydroelectric power plants.

Where special signs indicate fishing is prohibited.
Organized fishing
- Competitions or other organized activities require a permit.
