It is the fisherman's responsibility to find out the applicable rules before fishing starts!
During inspection
- It is your responsibility to be able to present a fishing license in digital format! (email, text message or file)
- Alternatively, you have a printed/paper valid fishing license that you can present!
When purchasing a fishing license on iFiske, we recommend that you save it locally on your device in case there is no mobile coverage during inspection!
Allowed gear
- All allowed fishing gear with the exception of net fishing.
- Net fishing is however allowed in the following waters Icksjön, Grundlien, Amungen, Ljugaren/Dådransjön and Vålsjön.
- Max 10 fishing gear/ice bait rods with 1 treble hook (fishing hook and multiple treble hooks/tackle not allowed).
- Otter fishing/scissors/stand hooks are prohibited in the entire area.
- All netting/mål/nets closer than 200 m from marked out fishing grounds is prohibited in the entire area.
- Trolling fishing Ljugaren, Dådransjön, Amungen and Ungsjöarna max 6 rods/boat (requires special trolling card and only 1 card/person)
- Trolling fishing Siljan max 10 rods/boat. Trolling card not required for Siljan where the regular cards also apply to trolling.
- Spinning fishing from a boat applies to the regular cards for the entire area.
- Selling caught fish is prohibited, only for household needs is approved.
Fishing license - Same rules as local card. Applies as family card (not trolling)
Running water - Only hand gear allowed.
Nets, mål and russjor - Must be clearly marked with name and telephone number. You may not block more than 40% with nets. minimum distance from marked fishing areas is 200 m for nets and bait.
Stora Vansen
- Only fly fishing is permitted.
- Fishing from a boat, kayak, pontoon boat, canoe, etc. is prohibited.
- Only fishing from a float ring (u or v shaped where fins are the main means of moving, there may be oars) and from land.
Extent of the area.
The fishing waters of the fisheries management area are shown on the attached map. In the following border waters that are shared with other fisheries management areas, the fishing license is valid for fishing within the entire water. Siljan, Ickån, Icksjön, Grundlien, Draggen, Sötrönningstjärn, Långtjärn, Berglömming, Amungen, Vålsjön, Södra ungsjön, Djuplagen, Mörttjärn, Västtjärn, Brossen, Littjärn, Salutjärn, Eliastjärn, Abborrtjärn.
Owners of holiday homes on the Hälsinglandsstrand of Amungen and persons belonging to Envikens FVO are entitled to fish in Amungen with all permitted gear as local residents.
Fishing ban all year round
- Budtjärn
- Östgårdsdammen
- Saluån
- Rockån/Rocktjärn
- In Enån between Övre Vinteråkvarndammen and 100 m below Nedre Vinteråkvarndammen.
Ban valid from 1 September to 30 November
- Rockviken, Amungen (see map conservation area).
- In Ljugaren there is a trolling ban and a net ban within the conservation area (see map).
- 300 m from all inlets to lakes.
- Net fishing ban in Amungen (net fishing for whitefish is however permitted with a maximum mesh size of 18 mm).
Banning valid from September 1 to May 31
- All running waters (except Enån where fishing for grayling is approved until the end of October).
Banning valid throughout May, September and October.
- 150 m downstream of the bypass at Kvarndammen.
Minimum and maximum dimensions
Applies to ALL waters within Rättvik-Boda FVOF
- Perch - All perch over 40 cm must be released.
- Pike - All pike over 90 cm must be released.
Enån, Draggån and Ickån
- All grayling must be released.
- Trout under 35cm must be released.
Ljugaren/Dådransjön, Amungen, Långsjön, Northern and southern Ungsjöarna
- Trout between 60 cm - 95 cm must be released.
- Max 1 trout per day and card.
Berglömming
- Trout between 50 cm - 75 cm must be released.
- Max 1 trout/day.
- Char under 35 cm must be released.
- Max 2 char/day.
Stora Vansen
- Trout between 50 cm - 75 cm must be released.
- Max 1 trout/day.
Stora and Lilla Laxtjärn, Pålstjärn, Öraltjärn and Klövstjärn.
- Trout under 40 cm must be released.
- Max 2 trout/day.
Stora and Lilla Ljustjärn.
- Char under 35 cm must be released.
- Max 2 char/day
