Lake Vänern's fishing rules for fish size and fishing times apply with the following adjustments: Minimum size: salmon and trout 60 cm without adipose fin. NOTE! Salmon and trout with adipose fin may not be caught but must be returned to the water.
Minimum size: Pike perch 45 cm.

Closed periods apply as follows: Pike perch ban 25/4- 15/6 Asp ban 1/4- 31/5 Salmon and trout ban 15/9- 31/12
