Rules for fishing. Fishing is allowed in almost all of the area's different waters against the issuance of one of our fishing licenses from 2023, including Yxen
In the waters of Limån from Siljan up to Altzakvar-Jobsarbo, fishing is prohibited In shared waters, you are allowed to fish in the entire lake, however, it is up to you as a fisherman to find out about any other rules in other fishing areas.
We want you to register for various types of fishing competitions with fvof no later than two weeks before the competition in order to receive approval. All competitors issue personal fishing licenses
Local license**.** These may be issued by residents and owners of real estate within the fishing area. The card is personal. Children under 16 years of age fish for free.
The card entitles you to fish with 1 hand gear and a maximum of 10 fishing rods/anglers or ice rods per fishing license. Trolling and otter fishing max 5 rods/bait per boat and fishing card (Byrviken 10).
In Yxen there is a max of one hand gear per person and a max of one trout 30-50 cm per day. Motor ban in Yxen (follow the areas' rules)
The card also entitles you to net fishing max. 6 nets = 180m per card and day (not Yxen). Net fishing ban in Fornby inlet/outlet 300 meters.
Outstanding gear must be clearly marked at both ends of the fishing gear with flags where the name and telephone number must be clearly stated.
Fishing cards other.
Children under 16 years of age fish for free. The card is valid for fishing with 1 hand gear and a max of 10 fishing rods/stand hooks or ice fishing rods. Trolling and otter fishing max 5 rods/bait per boat and fishing card (Byrviken 10).
Fishing in Yxen is included in the regular Siljansnäs card from January 2023
In Yxen you are allowed to fish with one hand gear per person
You are allowed to catch one trout between 35-50 cm per day and person
There is a motor ban (including electric motors) and net fishing ban in Yxen
From 1/10 -31/12 there is a fishing ban in Yxen
Fishing restrictions.
* Max 1 pike perch that is at least 50cm long/per card and day. All other pikeperch are released carefully * Pikeperch are protected during spawning weeks 20-26 (released carefully) * Wild trout are protected (trout with fatty fins are protected) and are released carefully * A maximum of 2 fin-clipped trout with a minimum size of 55 cm may be taken per day and fishing license in our other waters * In our flowing waters, a maximum of 3 trout/char with a minimum size of 15 cm may be taken per day/fishing license
In the waters of the Limån River from Siljan up to Altzakvar - jobsarbo, there is a fishing ban from 2024-2027 * Pike over 100 cm are released carefully
* Perch over 40 cm are released carefully * Fishing for sale is prohibited * Fishing with scissors is prohibited * Children under 16 years of age fishing free * Fishing license and identification must be presented to supervisory personnel upon request * Where fishing takes place that deviates from the above-mentioned regulations, the FVO or its representatives have the right to charge a control fee of 2000 SEK * Every fisherman has an obligation to find out what rules apply within the FVO that he/she fishes on * 1/9-31/12 all fishing in our flowing waters is prohibited * All cards are valid from the date they are signed and one month or one year ahead.
