Free fishing for children and young people up to and including 17 years of age only in the company of a guardian who holds a valid fishing license (on his/her card). Ice fishing is permitted with a maximum of 8 baits/card (approved equipment is rod with reel and hook) No other gear. Fishing may not take place closer than 50 meters from the pier For trolling with a motor while underway, no aids that change the natural depth of the bait may be used, nor so-called side paravanes, and only 1 bait per fishing license is permitted on a regular fishing license. The fishing license is only valid for hand gear fishing. Does not apply to crayfish fishing or trolling fishing. Max. 2 salmon fish/day, of which max. 1 char.
Trolling card is only valid for trolling fishing and catching 2 salmon fish per day, of which max. 1 char. Trolling fishing means fishing with deep rigs or similar for fishing with a boat while underway. The card is personal and also applies to spouses/partners and children under 18 years of age. The fishing card must always be carried. Applies only to trolling fishing, max. 8 rods/bait per card, only 1 card per boat is allowed, max. one hook per bait, this is to facilitate Catch and release. Max. 2 salmonids, of which max. 1 char per day and card/boat is allowed. The annual card is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.

Landowners with a share in Yxningen are entitled to free fishing for the family on their own water, when fishing on water not their own, a water owner card must be purchased, contact the board. When fishing with fixed gear, these must be WELL MARKED and provided with a name or property designation, so that they can be easily identified. We recommend a mesh size of 60 mm on the net.
Fishing supervision of fishing in Yxningen is carried out by supervisors appointed by the County Administrative Board. These have been given the authority by the board of the Fisheries Conservation Association to monitor that these rules are followed.
Be careful of our unique lake, show consideration for natural areas, especially for the lake's bird life during breeding seasons. Do not make fires on the rocks and do not litter, take the trash home with you.
