Rules for Lillåns fly fishing 2023 To obtain a fishing license for Lillåns fly fishing requires membership in Sportfiskarna Trollhättan Vänersborg or that you fish as a guest with a member. Both fishing parties must then purchase a day license. - It is limited to 6 fishing licenses per day divided between 3 Adults and 3 Youth. Fishing licenses are booked and purchased through I-fiske (www.ifiske.se).
Lillån is open for rainbow trout fishing all year round. All trout are protected throughout the season. Fishing directed at trout is prohibited.
- The fishing license is personal and costs 150 SEK per day for Adults and 75 SEK per day for Youth and is valid from 06:00 to 21:00 on the same day. Only 1 card per person. Youth is counted up to and including the year you turn 18. Adults over 18 years - Fishing license is valid for the entire stretch of Lillån from Kassartorpet where the river begins and all the way down to the dam foundation just below the bridge at Önafors. - Fishing is conducted with a barbless hook and only as Catch & Release. Remember to handle fish carefully when releasing it. Use a net and if possible unhook the fish in the water. All trout must be released. - Only traditional fly fishing with a fly rod and floating fly line is allowed, where a fly may be used (no natural bait or scent on the fly) - Fishing is prohibited on the right bank (in the direction of the water's flow) in the upper part of the river where there are buildings along the river. - Plots may not be entered! - There are horse pastures on the left bank (in the direction of the water's flow) in the upper part of the river, remember to use the gates when you go through there and behave calmly with respect for the animals. - Fishing takes place without wading in the river (no floating vehicles such as float rings or kayaks are allowed). - For everyone's well-being, take your trash home! - Do not disturb other fishermen and do not unnecessarily occupy fishing spots. - Burning is prohibited at Lillån except at arranged fire pits.
