Gärdsbodammen In open water, only spin fishing, fishing with plastic balls and flies and fly fishing are permitted. Natural bait and all forms of scented baits such as "Power bait" are prohibited. Fishing from a boat is prohibited. Float fishing may be used in Gärsbodammen. Please note that fishing from land takes priority as the idea of float fishing is to find more fishing spots. When ice fishing, a maximum of one rod per person applies. Natural bait may be used. When angling or ice fishing for pike, a maximum of 15 fishing rods or rods may be used. Only dead bait fish are permitted. All caught pike must be killed. After the premiere, only 1 valuable fish may be kept per person per day. After 1/7, 2 valuable fish may be kept per person per day. Stora Hulta Dammen Permitted fishing methods are spin fishing, fly fishing, angling, ice fishing and pole fishing. When angling or ice fishing for pike, a maximum of 15 fishing rods or baits may be used. Only dead bait fish are permitted. When angling, two rods may be used per person. A maximum of 3 pikes and 5 eels may be caught per person per day. Grass carp are protected for fishing and must be re-ice-released if caught in Stora Hulta Dammen. Our vision to make Stora Hulta Dammen a fishing lake will be further developed over the years. Mirror carp were planted in the spring/summer of 2009 and in 2012, and 405 eel fry. Great care must be taken when re-stocking the carp. The carp should not be placed on bare ground but on a dehooking mat.
Tidan Since 2010, Hjo sport fishing club and Fridene fish conservation association have a part of Tidan that we can fish in. That stretch starts at the bridge upstream of the power plant dam in Korsberga. Karthagen and extends to Skogslund, there are markings where the area extends. We can fish in half of the power plant dam, Fishing is prohibited in the dam at the power plant, check the signs.. In Tidan there are tench, rudd, bream, roach, ide, carp, chub, perch, pike, trout, eel and the occasional rainbow trout. Of course, the club members show caution for the residents around Tidan and think about parking and nature. Allowed methods are spinning,.angling and fly fishing
