RULES FOR FYLLEÅNS FISHING REGION, HALMSTAD 2019. 1. FISHING LICENSE A fishing license is required for the right to fish in Fylleåns fishing reserve in Halmstad. Fishing licenses can be purchased via Ifiske and at the Tourist Office in Halmstad              Fishing licenses are personal and cannot be transferred or exchanged. The angler must keep the fishing license in the plastic pocket provided and attached to the arm. No refunds for unused cards. Children under 15 years of age accompanied by a guardian may fish for free, if the guardian has a valid fishing license. 2. FISHING RULES The angler is obliged to learn the fishing regulations and carefully observe the provisions. The angler must follow the additional instructions for fishing provided by the supervisor. 3. FISHING TIMES Fishing season 1 March - 30 September. For zones 4, 5 and 6, from the bridge at Fyllinge smithy to the downstream road bridge at Landala farm, the fishing season does not start until May 1st! 4. FISHING METHODS The fishing license only entitles you to fishing with a spinning or fly rod. Only one rod per person is allowed. Fishing from a boat is not allowed. Jerking fishing and all angling is absolutely prohibited, as well as catching salmon and trout bream. The angler must move downstream between each cast to avoid congestion. We recommend that barbless hooks are used to facilitate re-release. 5. FISHING AREA The fishing area is divided into six zones where fishing is allowed from the downstream road bridge at Landala farm to the Fylleån river's outlet into the sea (but not from the plot and garden) see map on the center fold. The upper section of zone 3, from Tullgrens mill and about 300 meters downstream, is open only for fly fishing. The area within zone 1 (located between E6 and Fylleån) that is specifically marked on the surrounding map, is part of the bird protection area at Trönningeängar. Access to this area is prohibited from 1 April to 15 July. 6. CATCH QUANTITY Fishing license entitles you to catch 1 trout per day, maximum 4 per season from 1 March to 1 May. From 1 May only catch and release on all caught trout. From 1 March to 1 October only catch and release on all caught salmon. Released and fatty fin-trimmed fish are not counted in the quotas. When the quotas are met, fishing must be ended. Rainbow trout and fatty fin-trimmed, farmed, salmon must be taken and killed. 7. MINIMUM DIMENSIONS Counted from the tip of the snout to the outer tip of the tail fin. For trout at least 45 cm. Fish that do not meet the measurement must be immediately released back into the water. 8. CATCH REPORTS Catch reporting is very important in order to obtain statistical data on the regrowth of salmon and trout and the consequences of various annual measures. Re-released fish must also be reported. Catch reporting must be done directly via iFiske. A raffle for an annual card and two gift cards of 500 SEK will be held on submitted reports after the end of the fishing season. Failure to report may result in suspension.
