The Fisheries Conservation Area Association charges a fee (control fee) if someone who has the right to fish within the fisheries conservation area fishes in violation of a ban or according to the statutes or the fisheries assembly's decision that applies to fishing within the area. Any catch in this case goes to the Fisheries Conservation Area Association. The inspection fee is charged under Section 31 of the Act (2010:1874) and is currently SEK 5,000 for the Sollerö Fishing Conservation Area Association. If the fee is not paid within the specified time, a reminder will be sent with a new specified payment period. If the fee remains unpaid after that, the debt collection law will apply. Prosecution can then be brought within two years. Illegal fishing, without a fishing license or other permit, fishing of protected species or in protected areas that have been decided by the authority is not covered by the inspection fee. In this case, a police report will be made and the equipment will be confiscated.
