Lake Valen has its inflow from Mosseryd and Sötåsasjön and its outflow into Lake Noen. The water is of high quality. Perch and pike fishing are good in both summer and winter, and as a result, jig fishing in winter has been popular both with individual fishermen and in competitions.

Valen's FCAA. The association's goal is being able to offer varied fishing in picturesque Valen during all seasons and for people of all ages. Participants in competitions and schoolchildren are just as welcome as individual fishermen.
The purpose of the association is to look after the interests of visitors and the lake so that sustainable fishing in harmony with nature will be within the reach of future generations.
