Try your luck in Sommen! A large lake, with a whopping twenty-two species. The stocks of pike and perch are good, but there are also char, trout and pike-perch in the lake. Due to the size of the lake, trolling is often the best method.

If you want to target your fishing, Säbysjön is a good lake for those who want to fish for pike-perch. There are both plenty of them, and there are really large specimens. Vertical fishing or trolling on a nice summer evening can mean good fishing! Pike fishermen should head to Noen. Here they are close together, and you can also get nice perch as a nice by-catch.

For anglers, Svartån is recommended. This species-rich river flows through Tranås city center, but it is also possible to fish on the outskirts of the city if you are looking for peace and quiet.

If fly fishing is what appeals to you, then head to Klanggölen in the northern parts of the municipality. Klangen is a small, well-maintained, put and take water that is managed by the Tranås sport fishing association. Here you can fish for rainbow trout in a beautiful, calm, and scenic environment.
