**_NOTE. Please respect the fishing ban in Torringen. It applies from 15/9 until the ice settles.
Torringen_** is probably the lake that is best known to the public. It has a char population that has been here since the ice age. Whitefish, perch and trout are also found. We currently have three boats that we rent out, one in Torringen at "Tre Tallar" one at the shelter in Övertjärn and one at the shelter in Nedertjärn. You can find these on the same page where you buy the fishing license. The lake is partly within the nature reserve Jämtgaveln. Here you can read about the history of the area. Removal of spawning gravel 2010
Övertjärn and Nedertjärn are two easily accessible smaller lakes that have a population of perch and pike. The occasional trout also occurs in these waters. Gubby Grössjön, Tälje Grössjön and Täljeviken contain plenty of perch and pike. In the small lakes north of Torringen there are perch and brook trout that sometimes grow and become a little larger.
Täljeån has a rich population of brook trout.
The Tälje-Näset fishing area has existed in slightly different geography and form since the autumn of 1932. The association was formed to get control of extensive poaching during the autumn char spawning. Fish conservation has always been carried out in most waters. In the past, the focus was more on releasing fish, and for a period, they had their own fish farms in ponds. Nowadays, we are trying to improve the conditions for the fish to reproduce themselves, and we have improved and expanded some spawning grounds for both trout and char.
