NOTE! Catch & Release only. The fish is handled carefully and released!
The fish must be kept in the water during unhooking. If you are unable to stand in the water, a knotless net should be used to keep the fish in the water when unhooking.
There are 2 24-hour fishing permits per day to buy during the period from the second week of March to the penultimate week of September. 2 Salmon/Sea Trout fish over the minimum size (50cm) may be landed per fisherman per day. After the quota is reached, fishing will cease!
Don't forget that we are a quota water. Book your fishing permit before you book your trip. If it is marked red in the calendar, the quota is full for that day. Read the rules carefully. New rules from 2024-03-01.

ESFK's fishing route applies to both sides of Emån. It starts above Hälleforshult (upstream of Karlshammar) and ends downstream of the road bridge after the large hedge at the Emsfors community.
Any littering in and around the river will inevitably lead to the withdrawal of your fishing license.
