In Åman there are mainly grayling and trout, with the same fishing methods as in the Vindelälven. In several of the lakes and ponds, trout and char have been introduced.
Åman/Åmsele FFF is approx. 65 km long, and is located in the northern part of Vindeln municipality. Parts of the area also extend into Norsjö and Lycksele municipalities. The area is dominated by a lake system that is the remains of an ancient glacial river. Åman is the watercourse that connects these lakes.
Fishing: The area offers a very varied fishing. In addition to good stocks of perch, pike, whitefish, etc., for a long time there have been releases of mainly trout and char in many of the system's lakes. In the system's stream sections, especially Manjaurån and Åman upstream of Ajaursjön, there are fine stocks of trout and grayling. These stretches of stream are located in fantastic surroundings and are excellent for fly fishing.
