Ås-Tolken is located in the western part of Borås and the eastern part of Ulricehamn municipality.
The lake is spring lake to Viskan and has clear and clean water. The interpreter is an excellent fishing lake with large perch, pike, pike, eel, salmon trout and not least whitefish and whitefish. Sometimes you can also get teats.
There are several islands in the lake. On one of them, Sundholmen, are the remains of Sundholmen castle from the early 16th century. There is a boat ramp at the southern end of the lake at Hallabron and one at the northern end of the lake, at the beginning of the descent to Sjögården. The latter is located near Old State Road 40, south of the former Nice Inn.

The county administrative board declared as a BIRD PROTECTION AREA.
The area is important for a host of birds and disturbance sensitive birds.
Signs are placed around the lake, among other things. at the insertion ramps.
On the island is the red-yellow sign "BIRD PROTECTION", which announces a ban on land ascents on the island during the months of March, April, May and June. Please note that stays within 300 m from the island are prohibited although passage by boat is allowed 200 m from the island. However, in practice, the east side of Lindö becomes difficult to pass because of. stone obstacles.
