The area includes the Holjeån River from its tributaries just north of Olofström to Ivösjön in the south, and the Lillån River from Blistorpssjön - a total stretch of about 25 km.
The water flows are regulated from Lake Immeln, which means that during dry periods and in summer there can be occasional low flows.
The largest rapids are at Östafors and at Forsagården just north of Näsum. The area from Östafors and south is a Natura 2000 area with certain rare plant and animal species. Therefore, no tree clearing or other impact on nature is taking place to facilitate fishing. Agriculture is carried out along the river, which also means that care must be taken when it comes to impacting nature and crops. Avoid littering!
